Radial oil seals are designed for preventing oil leakage and dust intrusion. They can be used in dynamic sealing of rotating shafts and also static sealing function.

They consist of a rubber sealing lip, metal case and a spiraled tensioning spring. The sealing lip is usually made of rubber like NBR ( normal application ) and Viton ( high temperature application ).
